Bulls win ugly over Western Kentucky

South Florida avoided the distinction of becoming the first team in 24 games to lose to Western Kentucky. That's probably about the best thing you can say about the Bulls' 24-12 win.

It was reminiscent of last year's game in Bowling Green, when the Hilltoppers hung around until late before the Bulls pulled away. Yet a 12-point win at home over the team that's ruling the ESPN.com Bottom 10 is hardly impressive.

South Florida somehow managed fewer than 300 total yards against Western Kentucky. Running back Demetris Murray was the star , rushing 15 times for 113 yards.

It's a win, and the Bulls are 2-1 now. They also played without Dontavia Bogan. But this was not one to remember.
