Doug Marrone has been a relentless cheerleader for Syracuse since the moment he was hired as the Orange football coach in December. Marrone will continue to do that in an ambitious spring tour designed to promote the program and connect with donors.
He will have a meet and greet with Syracuse alumni in Boston on Tuesday at Fenway Park. Other stops between now and May 18 include Buffalo, Binghamton, Rochester and Utica, N.Y.; Scranton, Pa.; and even a three-day stop in Los Angeles. He'd better loosen his arm, because he's scheduled to throw out the first pitch at four minor league baseball games along the way.
Marrone is sure to be asked about Greg Paulus on his visits. It will be interesting to see if the Paulus situation reaches a conclusion before Marrone starts hitting the road in earnest.
