Bulls' Wilson loses another brother to gun violence

In a story that is as tragic as it is senseless, South Florida linebacker Kion Wilson has had another brother killed by a shooting in Miami.

In March, 24-year-old Kellon "Herbie" Wilson was shot and killed in Miami Gardens. On Sunday, according to the St. Petersburg Times, 29-year-old Darius Wilson died of complications resulting from a gunshot wound to his right leg. Details are murky about the shooting, but the newspaper says the address on the police report is for a North Miami night club.

Darius Wilson's funeral is Saturday, and several South Florida coaches -- including Jim Leavitt -- are expected to attend.

Kion Wilson moved to Jacksonville after his freshman year in high school to escape the violence in Miami.

The Bulls' starting middle linebacker is being relied on for leadership his senior season and looks to be in line for a breakout campaign. But, obviously, he will be playing with a heavy heart.
