South Florida officials are saying they will have the largest traveling contingent of Bulls fans ever for the Sept. 26 game at Florida State.

And while they'll still be far outnumbered in Doak Campbell Stadium, their presence keeps growing.

South Florida officials announced that they've received an additional 1,000 tickets for Bulls fans to purchase to the game in Tallahassee. That makes 8,500 seats for the Bulls, who received an initial allotment of 5,000 tickets and put another 2,500 on sale June 1. Tickets can be purchased on the USF Web site.

"I have said multiple times that the game at Florida State is a great opportunity for our program on a national stage and against one of the greatest coaches in college football history, Bobby Bowden," Bulls coach Jim Leavitt said in a statement. "I love that ticket sales are strong, and I hope that the fans continue the stampede to Tallahassee. We'll need every single one of them to win in a one of the most difficult environments in football."
