Pitt lands standout receiver

Pittsburgh is dipping back into the same well where it found LeSean McCoy and Aaron Berry and is hoping for similar success.

The Panthers have landed a verbal commitment from receiver Salath Williams of Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, Pa. That's the same school McCoy and Berry attended. Both played a role in his choice.

"They were both breaking it down for me and told me how much they liked it and how it was a great place to play football," Williams told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "They both had great experiences there and I expect to as well."

Williams is a 6-foot-4, 180-pound wideout who picked Pitt over Purdue, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State and West Virginia. He caught 49 passes for 899 yards and 11 touchdowns last season.
