Bearcats host fundraiser with Mitch Stone

Remember Mitch Stone? The 2009 Cincinnati football team "adopted" the 12-year-old brain-cancer patient, and he helped inspire them throughout their undefeated season. Mitch even led them out of the tunnel for the Sugar Bowl.

The program's association with Mitch and his family is ongoing. On Saturday, the Bearcats will host a fundraiser for the Cincinnati Children's Hospital along with Mitch's Mission, a non-profit organization started by Mitch and his family to help kids in similar health situations. Saturday's event will feature football players and other Bearcats athletes, and proceeds will send children with cancer and blood diseases to summer camp for a week.

The best news of all is that Mitch is healthy and cancer-free, with a full head of hair. And he's still a great source of inspiration.
