In my earlier video on Louisville's spring practice, I mentioned receiver Michaelee Harris as someone to watch this next month. Scratch that.
Head coach Charlie Strong said Tuesday that Harris, who missed last year with a knee injury, tore the PCL in his other knee during winter conditioning. The redshirt freshman will miss this spring and now will be really far behind in his development.
That adds to a long list of injuries already announced by Strong, which includes defensive linemen Greg Scruggs, William Savoy and B.J. Butler, cornerback Darius Ashley, center Mario Benavides, running back Jeremy Wright, and receivers Damian Copeland and Andrell Smith.
A total of 14 players will miss spring practice because of injuries.
''When you look at that list you say who's left to play,'' Strong told reporters. ''I'd like to know myself.''
You'd rather have injuries in the spring than in the fall. But with a team that needs to replace a lot of starters from last year's senior-laden squad, all these injuries are tough to endure.
