Florida WR transfer could end up at USF

South Florida could be the landing spot for Chris Dunkley, a former highly-rated receiver recruit who is leaving Florida after one redshirt season.

The St. Petersburg Times quotes Dunkley's high school coach as saying the Bulls are "the top one on his list."

Dunkley, who is from Pahokee, Fla., was ranked the No. 7 receiver nationally out of high school and the No. 37 prospect overall by ESPN.com. He is 5-foot-11 and 174 pounds.

His high school coach told the St. Pete Times that Dunkley "is not perfect and made some mistakes at Florida" but that "he understands he doesn't have many opportunities" left. His coach also said he would be academically eligible, though Dunkley would have to sit out the 2011 season under NCAA transfer rules.

USF landed three high-profile transfers last year in running backs Darrell Scott (Colorado) and Dontae Aycock (Auburn) and defensive back Spencer Boyd (Notre Dame).
