Since TCU is joining the Big East for the 2012 season, I'll be providing occasional updates for you to get to know the Horned Frogs in advance of their arrival.
This marks a good time to catch up on TCU with colleague Andrea Adelson wrapping up the non-AQ spring performances. Here is her take on the Horned Frogs. In a nutshell:
Gary Patterson is high on his defensive line, which he says has a chance to be better than the one from the previous season's Rose Bowl team. New starters at safety impressed this spring, and Casey Pachall earned the starting quarterback job to replace Andy Dalton. Pachall is still a question mark who must live up to Dalton's immense legacy, and Patterson is looking for more leadership and young contributors at receiver.
