Syracuse hires three to work with team

Syracuse has hired three assistants to work with the football program: Brad Kimble as assistant athletic trainer; Max Miller as senior academic coordinator; and Steve Scarnecchia as video coordinator.

“We look forward to all three individuals helping to take our program to the next level within these important areas,” coach Doug Marrone said in a statement Friday.

Kimble comes to Syracuse after serving as the associate athletic trainer at Baldwin-Wallace College for the last five years. He also had stops at the Cleveland Clinic and as an intern for the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets.

Miller joins the program after serving as academic support services adviser for the Purdue football team for more than four years. At Purdue, he improved the GPA of the football team to 2.90, which is the best in program history.

Scarnecchia was most recently director of video operations for the Denver Broncos, Scarnecchia replaces Erik Kunttu, who recently left Syracuse to become the video coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts. He is the son of longtime Patriots assistant coach Dante Scarnecchia.
