USF moved into the AP Top 25 rankings released Tuesday, debuting at No. 22 after a 23-20 win over Notre Dame. West Virginia moved up five spots to No. 19 in the AP poll, and moved into the USA Today coaches poll at No. 24 after a weather-shortened win over Marshall.
Neither ranking comes as much of a surprise. USF is now in the Top 25 for the first time since the week of Nov. 12, 2009, when they were ranked No. 23 and took on Rutgers. The Bulls received 97 votes in the coaches' poll, two spots out of the rankings.
Cincinnati also received one vote in the coaches' poll, and Pitt received 11 votes in the AP poll.
