McCoy breaks free as Pitt survives

LeSean McCoy finally burst past the 100-yard mark in a game, going for 149 yards on 28 carries against Syracuse. But it was backfield mate LaRod Stephens-Howling who scored two touchdowns as the Panthers rallied from 24-13 down in the second half to win 34-24.

Syracuse showed a lot of fight, but its tackling broke down in the second half. Will the Greg Robinson watch start now, or will the Orange's effort buy him some more time?

Pitt is now 3-1 and has played well in the second half of its last two weeks. If South Florida can beat NC State tonight, that will set up a pretty good Thursday night showdown in Tampa between the Panthers and the Bulls.
