Cincinnati will have to try and wrap up a Big East title without star cornerback Mike Mickens.
The All-Big East senior, who missed last weekend's Pittsburgh game after injuring his left knee in practice, had surgery Monday to repair a torn meniscus. He's expected to miss three to four weeks.
That timetable means that Mickens should be able to return for Cincinnati's bowl game, which might come in the BCS. Mickens leads the Bearcats with 65 tackles and four interceptions this season.
