Illinois' Locksley interviews at Clemson

Illinois offensive coordinator Mike Locksley has interviewed for the head-coaching job at Clemson, fellow blogger Heather Dinich reports.

Locksley has been a hot name the last two years, and despite Illinois' struggles this fall, his offense leads the Big Ten in yards (448.3 yards per game) and ranks second in points (30.4 points per game). Though he's up against some big names at Clemson, Locksley's accomplishments as a playcaller and particularly as a recruiter -- he owns the Washington, D.C., recruiting scene -- make him a viable candidate.

Don't be surprised if Locksley gets an interview at Syracuse as well.
