As the Big Ten continues to wait for its postseason assignments -- end the madness, already! -- the league appears to have an opponent for the Insight Bowl. Kansas is expected to announce today that it has accepted an invitation to the Insight, played Dec. 31 at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Ariz.
The Big 12 can feel a little more confident about getting two BCS entries than the Big Ten, so it's no surprise to see 7-5 Kansas lock up a bowl bid. Kansas will face either Wisconsin or Minnesota in the Insight Bowl, which selects sixth in the Big Ten's bowl order.
As the debate continues in Madison about whether Wisconsin would rather play in the Insight Bowl or Champs Sports Bowl -- the Badgers have made four consecutive trips to Florida bowls -- here's a quick look at the history between Kansas and both Wisconsin and Minnesota, should the teams meet in Tempe.
