To round out the Big Ten tie-in bowl match-ups, Wisconsin will face Florida State in the Champs Sports Bowl, while Minnesota heads to the Insight Bowl to face Kansas.
Wisconsin will play in a Florida bowl for the fifth consecutive year and travels to Orlando for the third time in four years after appearing in the Capital One Bowl in 2006 and 2007. The Badgers have never faced Florida State (8-4).
Minnesota heads to the Insight Bowl for the second time in three seasons after an amazing turnaround this fall from 1-11 to 7-5. The Gophers dropped their final four regular-season games but ended up with a trip to Tempe, Ariz.
"We are excited to be selected as the Big Ten's representative in the Insight Bowl and we are looking forward to playing one of the nation's best teams in Kansas on Dec. 31st in Sun Devil Stadium," Minnesota head coach Tim Brewster said in a statement. "I could not be more proud of what our team has accomplished this season and I am thrilled that all their hard work is being rewarded with an opportunity to play in a tremendous event like the Insight Bowl."
