OSU leads four Big Ten teams in AP poll

The preseason AP Top 25 poll is out, and four Big Ten teams are in.

Ohio State leads the Big Ten contingent at No. 2, 91 points points behind Alabama. The Buckeyes received three first-place votes.

Iowa comes in at No. 9, a spot ahead of where it ranked in the preseason Coaches' Poll. Wisconsin is three spots behind at No. 12, and Penn State is the final Big Ten team, at No. 19.

The AP voters don't think much of the rest of the league, as no other Big Ten teams received votes. Future Big Ten member Nebraska is No. 8.

This poll looks about right to me. Penn State had too many question marks to be ranked 14th in the Coaches' Poll. Iowa should be in the 7-10 range, and Wisconsin looks to be in the 9-13 range.

Here's a look at where some of the Big Ten's nonconference opponents ended up in the AP Poll:

Alabama: No. 1

Miami: No. 13

USC: No. 14

Connecticut, Notre Dame, Missouri, Arizona, Middle Tennessee and Central Michigan are receiving votes.
