As expected, Ohio State freshman offensive lineman J.B. Shugarts had a possession of drug paraphernalia charge dropped Monday morning.
Shugarts and teammate Mike Adams faced the charge after police found a pipe in the car Adams was driving during a Jan. 14 traffic stop. Adams had his charge dropped last week and must only pay a traffic fine, while Shugarts faces no additional penalties.
So breath easy, Buckeye Nation. Usually when police find a pipe in a college student's car, it signals much worse news.
Both Shugarts and Adams will begin competing for starting jobs when Ohio State opens spring practice April 2.
