Wisconsin's Konz, Clay iffy for Indiana

Wisconsin might not have its top running back available this week and almost certainly won't have one of its top offensive linemen.

Starting center Peter Konz likely will miss Saturday's game against Indiana with a sprained ankle. Running back John Clay could return, but he's dealing with a sprained knee.

Coach Bret Bielema said Monday that Clay's MRI results didn't look as bad as those from No. 2 running back James White last week. White sat out the Purdue game on Saturday but should be back for Indiana, while Clay "has a chance" to play against IU, Bielema said.

Bill Nagy would start at center if Konz can't play.

Even if both White and Clay are limited, Wisconsin should be OK at running back as Montee Ball has played very well in the past two games. Ball rushed for a career-high 127 yards and two touchdowns against Purdue, eclipsing his previous best of 115 rush yards and two scores last year against, yep, Indiana.
