Texas Bowl gains new title sponsor

The Texas Bowl has a new name: The Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas.

ESPN and Meineke Car Care made the announcement Tuesday, and the three-year sponsorship agreement goes into effect for the 2011 game. The Big Ten added the Texas Bowl to its postseason lineup in 2010 and Illinois beat Baylor 38-14 on Dec. 29 at Houston's Reliant Stadium. The Big Ten once again will face a Big 12 opponent in Houston in a December game to be televised by one of the ESPN networks.

Just to be clear, there won't be two Meineke Car Care bowls as the original game in Charlotte is now the Belk Bowl. Yes, I know it's tough to keep things straight, but I'll do my best to help you out.

Here's a quick look at the Big Ten bowl lineup for 2011-13, based on selection order:

Rose Bowl (or other BCS bowl)

Capital One Bowl

Outback Bowl

Gator Bowl
