Playboy AA team includes four B1G players

The 2011 Playboy All-America squad has been selected, and four Big Ten players made the list.

They are:

  • Ohio State C Mike Brewster

  • Iowa T Riley Reiff

  • Michigan State DT Jerel Worthy

  • Nebraska DT Jared Crick

Four deserving choices here. The Big Ten had four players on last year's team as well.

Expect to see Brewster's name on any reputable preseason All-America list in the coming months. Reiff also is slowly gaining more national recognition as the next superstar Iowa offensive lineman. Both Reiff and Worthy are projected by some to be the Big Ten's top prospects for the 2012 NFL draft.

Crick's credentials will generate plenty of hype entering the fall. It'll be really interesting to see if Crick or one of his fellow Nebraska defenders -- linebacker Lavonte David and cornerback Alfonzo Dennard -- is named the Big Ten's preseason Defensive Player of the Year. While it'd be a little unusual given that Nebraska hasn't played a down as a Big Ten member, who is more deserving than the Huskers' standouts?

Here's the entire team:
