Purdue says no issue with Robert Marve

Purdue quarterback Robert Marve might have been implicated in the Miami booster scandal, but the Boilermakers apparently have no plans to hold him out of competition.

The school issued a statement this evening:

"Purdue University has been in communication with the NCAA regarding Tuesday’s media report that mentions Robert Marve. There are no issues with Purdue or eligibility issues with Robert. Purdue will have no further comment on this matter.”

That's good news for this year's team and it's encouraging that the program has worked with the NCAA to check on the matter. You never know how this kind of investigation will turn out and whether that affects Marve's eligibility, but Purdue should not be held accountable if it does.
