B.J. Cunningham sets Spartan record

It didn't take long for Michigan State wide receiver B.J. Cunningham to get his record.

Cunningham -- a guest on our Big Ten podcast this week -- hauled in a catch from Kirk Cousins on the Spartans' first offensive series against Florida Atlantic. That gave him 149 career catches, most in school history.

Cunningham did it in style, too. He fell down as the ball was arriving but managed to get his hands on the pigskin. The ball bounced in the air, but Cunningham grabbed it while on his back.

Cunningham had another catch on the drive, and Edwin Baker punched it in for a touchdown as Michigan State completed an impressive opening series. Which was much needed after last week's sloppy opener against Youngstown State.

Congratulations to Cunningham.
