Big Ten in the latest polls

Michigan State beat Wisconsin to change the balance of power in the Big Ten, and now the Spartans are the league's highest-ranked team.

Following the 37-31 win against the Badgers, Michigan State jumped up to No. 9 in the Associated Press Top 25, to No. 10 in the USA Today coaches' poll and No. 11 in the Harris Poll. The coaches and Harris polls make up two-thirds of the BCS formula, and the latest BCS standings will be released tonight.

Wisconsin fell out of the top 10 for the first time this season, tumbling to No. 12 in AP, No. 11 in the coaches' poll and No. 12 in Harris. Meanwhile, Nebraska and Penn State moved up after wins, while Illinois fell out of the rankings following its second consecutive defeat.
