Penn State's Board of Trustees met Sunday night to discuss the sex abuse allegations against former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky as well as the perjury charges filed against athletic director Tim Curley and another school official.

"The Board did meet this evening in executive session," Penn State spokeswoman Lisa Powers said in an email sent to ESPN.com. "About half the members were here in person and about half were on the phone."

The trustees' next scheduled meeting is Friday. Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett, who was the state's attorney general during must of the investigation into Sandusky, reportedly will attend.
