Denard Robinson out for Michigan

If Michigan is going to keep the Little Brown Jug, it will have to do so without Denard Robinson.

The senior quarterback won't play in today's game against Minnesota, the team announced just before kickoff. Robinson came out of last week's game at Nebraska with a nerve issue in his throwing elbow in the first half. Head coach Brady Hoke said all week that Robinson was fine and should be able to go. But in a pregame interview with Big Ten Network, he said his star player, "didn't come as far as we thought."

So Devin Gardner, who has played receiver all season, will start at quarterback in this game. Michigan's offense has been heavily dependent on Robinson, so it will be fascinating to see how the Wolverines fare without their most important player.
