The 2016 LSU-Wisconsin game at Lambeau Field could become official on Friday, when the University of Wisconsin board of regents is expected on to approve a contract for the contest.
The game has been in the works for months, and the two schools agreed to a contract for two-game series back in August. The Tigers and Badgers already officially announced that they will open the 2014 season at Houston's Reliant Stadium.
The Wisconsin regents are meeting at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside campus and were expected to discuss the game contract in committee on Thursday night before voting on it Friday, a school official told ESPN.com. The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported that the Green Bay Packers would pay the Badgers $3 million for its first-ever game at Lambeau Field.
