Michigan State has finalized its recruiting class for 2011. Coach Mark Dantonio has signed 21 scholarship players and a walk-on.
The scholarship players include six from within the state and four from neighboring Ohio. Michigan State signed 13 defensive players, seven offensive players and one athlete.
Here's the position breakdown:
A few notes:
For the second straight year, Michigan State's lone ESPNU 150 prospect is a talented defender from within the state. Inside linebacker Lawrence Thomas will join last year's headliner, William Gholston, in East Lansing.
Although Thomas is the lone ESPNU 150 selection, all but two of Michigan State's prospects received a grade of three stars or more from ESPN Recruiting
Michigan State added guard Kyle Lints as a preferred walk-on.
