Vokoun pulled after Bruins' onslaught

PITTSBURGH -- After the Boston Bruins gained a 3-0 first-period lead on their first 12 shots, Pittsburgh Penguins coach Dan Bylsma gave goalie Tomas Vokoun the hook and replaced him with Marc-Andre Fleury at the 16:31 mark.

Prior to the game, there had been some speculation that Bylsma would go with Fleury to start Game 2 after the Bruins defeated the Penguins 3-0 in Game 1.

The fans at Consol Energy Center chanted “Fleury” as he came into the game.

The Penguins scored at 19:26 of the first period to cut the deficit to 3-1, but the Bruins quickly responded as Brad Marchand scored his second goal of the game with 8.1 seconds remaining in the period.
