Suspended Thornton practices with B's

WILMINGTON, Mass. -- After returning home from a 3-1-0 road trip, the Boston Bruins were back on the practice ice Monday morning at Ristuccia Arena.

Jarome Iginla was not skating. He suffered a hand injury during a fight with the Canucks’ Ryan Kesler during the first period of Saturday’s 6-2 loss at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. Iginla missed the remainder of the period but returned and finish the game.

Because Iginla was not on the ice Monday, Matt Fraser was on the line with Milan Lucic and David Krejci.

Bruins forward Shawn Thornton, who is serving a 15-game suspension for his attack on the Penguins’ Brooks Orpik, was on the ice.

Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid, who has been sidelined with a lower-body injury, practiced as well.

The Bruins also recalled forward Craig Cunningham from Providence of the AHL.
