WILMINGTON, Mass. – After missing Saturday’s game with an undisclosed injury, Bruins captain Zdeno Chara was back on the ice for Monday’s practice at Ristuccia Arena.
He participated in all of the early drills, but midway through the hour-long skate he exited the ice and did not return. Afterward, Bruins coach Claude Julien said that was planned.
“He’s progressing and we’ll make a decision depending on how he is tomorrow,” Julien said.
Prior to the team’s practice, forward Loui Eriksson (concussion) skated on his own and is progressing, according Julien.
“He skated, just a light skate here to see how he’s doing,” Julien said. “These kinds of things are day-to-day.”
Defenseman Dougie Hamilton practiced with the team for the first time since suffering a lower-body injury on Dec. 8 at Toronto.
“He’s progressing as scheduled,” Julien said. “It was limited drills for him and he’ll keep progressing here hopefully in the upcoming days and we’ll see where he is.”
