WILMINGTON, Mass. -- Daniel Paille said Sunday that he reached out to Dallas Stars forward Raymond Sawada, whom he hit in the second period of the Bruins’ 6-3 win Thursday night, and that all is well between the players.
Paille was suspended four games for violating Rule 48 for blindside hits to the head for his hit on Sawada, who suffered a broken nose and injured shoulder.
“We just had a brief conversation and he understood where I was coming from," Paille said. "I think he’s the same type of player as me, so he was very nice throughout the whole conversation and understanding with me.”
