BOSTON -- With only six games remaining in the 2010-2011 regular season, Bruins coach Claude Julien has decided it’s time to give some players a much-needed rest in preparation for the Stanley Cup playoffs.
“We’re going to kind of start rotating guys in and out,” said Julien. “Nothing to do with their play more than we have an opportunity to give some guys playing time, which we want to make sure we do. We’ll work through it.”
There’s also a possibility that Bruins veteran defenseman Shane Hnidy will make his season debut on Saturday against Atlanta.
Goaltender Tim Thomas was first off the ice this morning following the game-day skate. He’s 1-2-1 against the Maple Leafs this season.
