Bruins 'ready'; Seguin out

BOSTON -- The Bruins held an optional skate this morning at TD Garden in preparation for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinal series against the Montreal Canadiens.

Bruins coach Claude Julien said he believes his team is ready.

“I think so," he said. "I think we’ll see tonight when the puck is dropped, but our guys seem like they’re focused and ready to go.”

Bruins rookie Tyler Seguin will be a healthy scratch tonight, and Julien was asked to give his logic on the decision.

“There’s no logic here,” he said. “I think it’s just we’ve got 20 guys in our lineup tonight that we feel is the lineup we want to go with.”
