BOSTON -- The Philadelphia Flyers have learned first-hand how tough it is to play against Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand.
He chirps. He agitates. He scores.
During the first two games of this Eastern Conference semifinal series, Marchand has clearly gotten under the skin of the Flyers, but he’s at his best when playing with that edge. That’s what made him successful during his first full season in the NHL, too.
The 23-year-old forward played 20 games for the Bruins last season, but was not on the playoff roster. This season he’s making major contributions with four goals and five assists for nine points in nine playoff games, including a plus-8 rating.
