TAMPA -- The Bruins are ready for the Lightning to try and strike quick today in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals at the St. Pete’s Times Forum. With the Bolts on the verge of falling down 3-1 in the series the B’s know they’re going to get Tampa’s best shot, especially in the opening period.
“They’re going to come out hard, we know that, they have for every game so it’s not a big surprise and we just want to make sure to come out with the same intensity, if not more,” defenseman Johnny Boychuk said Saturday morning. “Just keep it simple, play our system and get in their zone so we can have chances too.”
Boychuk and the Bruins also know that Game 3 is history. If they rest on their laurels up 2-1, the series could be tied and Tampa Bay could steal momentum.
“We don’t really want to think about what happened before and stay focused and take it one game at a time,” Boychuk said. “We want to stay focused on the task at hand and that’s what we’re doing.”
