Bruins head coach Claude Julien ran his team through a grueling 75-minute practice at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis in advance of the Bruins' tilt with the Blues there Wednesday night.
The Bruins have lost two straight and their lead over the Ottawa Senators was down to just two points headed into NHL action Tuesday night. The Bruins do have four games in hand on Ottawa, but they’re just 4-6-0 in their last 10 games and Julien isn’t going to watch frustration take over his team even more.
“I blew the whistle a couple times to say, ‘Don’t allow yourself to let the frustration creep in. Let’s keep working our way out of it,' " Julien told the media after practice Tuesday.
Recent call-up Carter Camper was reportedly splitting time at with Josh Hennessy between Benoit Pouliot and Jordan Caron, and David Krejci remained on the wing with Milan Lucic and Chris Kelly at center.
