The Celtics (20-4) open a brief three-game homestand Friday night against the 76ers (6-19) at the TD Garden (7:30 p.m., CSN).

The most noteworthy aspect of the 76ers visit might be who's not with the team as Allen Iverson is not expected to make the trip for Friday's game.

The Celtics continued their stifling defense by allowing just 74 points and holding the Sixers to 36.3 percent from the field as they won on the road, 105-74... The Sixers started out hot leading 12-4 at one point but the Celtics made their final seven shots of the first quarter and led by two at the end of the first... Rasheed Wallace had a nice homecoming to his native Philadelphia with 20 points on the night, including 6 three pointers... Paul Pierce netted a game-high 21 points and pulled down a team-high eight boards... Shelden Williams had another strong showing off the bench with 11 points and seven boards...
