Opposing view: Bulls on attack

BOSTON -- A collection of postgame thoughts from the visitors' locker room following the Chicago Bulls' 96-83 triumph over the Boston Celtics:

Coach Vinny Del Negro: “I thought we came out with good energy early, and we just kept attacking. I liked the tempo of the game a little bit early. I thought in the second quarter we got a little bit stagnant, missed some shots, too many jumpers. But we kept attacking in the third quarter. We didn’t want it that close, we wanted to keep the pace up. Derrick [Rose] was attacking off the pick and roll, Luol [Deng] made some big shots for us, Joakim [Noah] was active. But everyone contributed, did their job and I was pleased with our defensive effort in how we played."

Guard Derrick Rose: “It’s probably the most complete game we’ve played all year with controlling it and that’s something we’ve been working on. Everybody’s getting healthy and we’re just trying to compete now.”

Forward Luol Deng: "We knew it was their fourth game in five nights and we try to keep the tempo up. What we did great was in the second half we came out and we knew they were gonna try to jump on us early and we did a good job... We played good enough defense and we hit shots. We made plays, but we played well together."
