In the video above, ESPN analysts Magic Johnson, Jon Barry, Michael Wilbon and Stuart Scott discuss the Celtics' streak-snapping loss to the Orlando Magic on Christmas Day.
Orlando rallied from 12 down in the second half and scored 15 of the final 16 points of the game to win it.
"I was impressed how [the Magic] finished the ballgame against a great defensive team,” explained Barry. "We talk about the great defense of the Boston Celtics, but it was the great defense of the Orlando Magic [on Saturday]. Thirty-two second-half points for the Boston Celtics. [The Magic] held them to a season-low 35 percent shooting, 4 for 17 from the three-point line."
So what should we read into this loss, which snapped Boston’s win streak at 14? Not much, says Wilbon, who stressed that missing Rajon Rondo made the difference on Saturday.
"I hate to be Scrooge, but ... Nate Robinson does not equal Rajon Rondo,” says Wilbon. "The Celtics had 15 assists as a team, that’s three good quarters of work for Rondo half the nights this season when he's been healthy enough to play."
