In his latest entry for his ANTA blog, Celtics forward Kevin Garnett tackles a bittersweet return to Chicago, from an emotional promotional visit Wednesday night, to getting trampled by the Bulls on Thursday.
Writes Garnett: "We got our BUTTS kicked and we need to work harder. The second half, we didn’t have the right spirit [vs. the Bulls]... Big game on Sunday, so we’ll see what happens."

Bittersweet visit to Chi-town. Got into town on Wed night and went to a center to talk to kids about “Mentors”. This was an appearance for Wheaties, but for me it hit home. Mentors were big in my life, so I got to speak to the kids and their mentors about the value of working hard and believing you can accomplish anything, so keep reaching higher. It was a good event and being in Chicago is extra special for me. Going to High School in Chicago made it special.
Game day vs. Thibs and the bulls. We got our BUTTS kicked and we need to work harder. The second half, we didn’t have the right spirit! We need to fight with the right spirit. Post game, we flew home and got ready to play the Wizards tonight.
We took the lead and never gave it up. Still had some dry spells in scoring and defending, but better spirit. Big game on Sunday, so we’ll see what happens.
Got a new flavor of Coconut water from Zico. CHOCOLATE!!! Love it, so we’ll see what they end up doing with it.
Have a great weekend and Keep Reaching higher!
