W2W4: C's vs. Kings (Game 57 of 82)

The Boston Celtics (19-37, 8-20 away) visit the Sacramento Kings (18-36, 11-17 home) on Saturday evening at Sleep Train Arena (10 p.m., CSN). Here's what to watch for:

  • SULLINGER VS. COUSINS, ROUND II! Jared Sullinger and DeMarcus Cousins locked horns earlier this month in a game that saw both score 31 points (a career high for Sullinger) and grab 16 rebounds. Cousins missed Sacramento's last game with a hip injury, but is expected back versus Boston. Kings coach Mike Malone told reporters, "Jared Sullinger had his way with us [and] we have an opportunity to pay him back, let him know that he's not going to do that to us again in our building."

  • BAYLESS VS. THOMAS, ROUND II? Jerryd Bayless and Isaiah Thomas, former AAU teammates, got into a little dust-up earlier this month with Thomas calling Bayless a "fake tough guy." Given that Rajon Rondo expected to sit out on the second night of a back-to-back as precaution (Boston is playing its third game in four nights), Bayless will likely see an elevated role in Boston's backcourt and part of his job will be slowing down Thomas. Rookie point guard Phil Pressey has been the typical starter for Boston when Rondo is out.

  • LOOSE BALLS: This is the second and final meeting of the season. The Celtics posted a 99-89 triumph at TD Garden earlier this month. ... The Kings shipped Marcus Thornton to Brooklyn for Jason Terry and Reggie Evans at the trade deadline, while also taking on Roger Mason Jr. from Miami. Terry, who spent last season with Boston, has been shut down for the season. ... The Celtics are 0-11 on the road against Western Conference opponents this season, having kicked away leads against the Suns and Lakers to start this four-game trip.
