Boston Celtics center Jared Sullinger will not play Saturday in Sacramento due to a mild concussion suffered in the fourth quarter of Friday night's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The team lists Sullinger as day to day.
With Sullinger out, the Celtics will be missing three starters overall. Point guard Rajon Rondo is sitting out the second night of a back-to-back as a precaution while working his way back from ACL surgery. Guard Avery Bradley is not with the team on this trip due to a right ankle injury.
Boston is down to nine available bodies for Saturday night's game. Phil Pressey, Gerald Wallace, Jeff Green, Brandon Bass and Kris Humphries started.
Sullinger played the final 9:14 of Friday's loss in Los Angeles, but did catch an elbow from Chris Kaman while the two battled for position with four minutes remaining. Kaman was whistled for an offensive foul on the play.
Sullinger is averaging 13.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 27.3 minutes per game this season. He was the Eastern Conference Player of the Week earlier this month.
