One of the new Celtics T-shirts available. The Boston Celtics wasted little time flaunting their revamped frontcourt, at least not the folks in merchandising.
The Celtics Store is currently selling T-shirts emblazoned with "The Green Machine" and a collage of Boston's big men. The shirt includes images of Kendrick Perkins, Kevin Garnett and Glen Davis, along with newcomers Shaquille O'Neal and Jermaine O'Neal (Photoshopped in their new Nos. 36 and 7 jerseys, respectively).
For a team whose lack of frontcourt depth might have prevented it from capturing Banner 18 in June, it's a reminder of one area the Celtics certainly focused on beefing up this offseason (even if they didn't include rookie Semih Erden in the new swag).
The shirt costs $24.95. If you're looking for something a little cheaper, the store seems to have discounted some of the merchandise celebrating Banner 17. Maybe the merchandise folks are hoping to clear some room for a new line of championship shirts if that frontcourt pushes Boston over the top during the 2010-11 campaign.
