We've updated the MIAA Top 25 poll, and the Top 5 has a different look to it -- not to mention, a historic one -- this week.
Bridgewater-Raynham, on the heels of a double-overtime win over previous No. 5 Xaverian, moves into the No. 3 spot for its highest ranking in the history of ESPNBoston.com's MIAA poll. Concord-Carlisle is making history this week as well, moving into the Top 5 for the first time in the poll's history at No. 4. The Patriots leapfrog four spots up on the heels of two dominant weeks, first demolishing Westford (61-14) then knocking off Acton-Boxborough (35-12) for the first time since 1987.
Also of note, this marks the first time this season a Catholic Conference school hasn't placed in one of the top four spots. BC High (4-3) drops two spots to No. 5 following a 35-21 loss to No. 1 Everett.
At the bottom, Holliston (24) and North Andover (25) return to the poll after one-week hiatuses.
As always, let us know how we're doing in the comments section below, or by emailing either Brendan Hall (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Scott Barboza (email@example.com).
EDITORS' NOTE: We apologize for the late update today on the polls. Our crew was out at Springfield Central today for our "Player of the Week" shoot, and thus had a late start due to the distance.
