Ludlow (boys) and Algonquin (girls) remained in the top spots on either poll.
On the boys' side, defending Division I champion Catholic Memorial slipped five notches to No. 7, while Walpole made the big move as the Rebels climbed eight spots to No. 12 on the strength of their 4-0-0 start. New to this week's poll was No. 14 Brookline and Masconomet, which checks in at No. 20 after its last-second win over North Andover. Falling out of the poll were Framingham (previously No. 11) and Somerville (15).
There was plenty of movement on the girls' side where New Bedford burst onto the scene with a 4-0-0 start. The Whalers check in at No. 13. Meanwhile, down Interstate 195, Dartmouth fell from No. 10 to No. 19. It's been a tough start for the Indians who've dropped their first three matches and lost top defender Kerin Gaydou for the season. That could leave things wide open in the Old Colony League this season.
Other teams new to the girls' poll were No. 17 Marshfield, No. 18 Andover and No. 20 Natick. Dropped from the poll was Ludlow (last ranked No. 13), Dedham (17), Franklin (19) and Wayland (20).
