Andover senior guard Nicole Boudreau became the 60th player in the history of Massachusetts to eclipse 2,000 career points, doing so with a 32-point effort in a 63-47 win over archrival Central Catholic tonight.
Boudreau, ESPN Boston's reigning Miss Basketball, needed 13 points headed into the game, and currently sits at 2,019. She is the second player in school history to join the 2,000-point club; former Warriors star Chris Vetrano graduated in 2004 with 2,090 career points.
Andover, which has remained the No. 1 team in ESPN Boston's MIAA girls basketball poll since March 2011, moves to 20-0 on the season and is virtually assured the No. 1 overall seed in Division 1 North when the MIAA unveils its seedings Friday morning.
Rob Van has the complete list of 2,000-point scorers on his site MassHoops.net, which you can find here.
