The first 12 players selected to participate in the seventh annual Under Armour Elite 24 event have been announced, and once again there is New England local flavor to it.
Hartford native Kuran Iverson and Tilton (N.H.) swingman Wayne Selden, a Boston native, were among the 12 announced today, in a loaded field that includes Prestonwood Christian (Texas) forward Julius Randle and Huntington Prep (W. Va.) wing Andrew Wiggins.
The Elite 24 will be held at the famed outdoor Venice Beach Courts in Los Angeles on August 24 and 25. The game airs live on ESPNU at 7 p.m. on Aug. 25, while the slam dunk contest will air Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. on ESPNU.
