NMH's Cotton headed to Yale

ESPN's Adam Finkelstein is reporting that Northfield-Mt. Hermon small forward Armani Cotton has verbally committed to Yale University for the fall of 2011.

Cotton, a 6-foot-6 wing from New York City, was also considering Princeton and Northwestern at the time of his decision. He is enrolled at the Northfield, Mass. prep school for a post-graduate year after finishing at the Dalton School, a private K-12 school in Manhattan's Upper East Side.

Scouts, Inc's current evaluation on Cotton says the following:

Cotton is long and athletic with the versatility to play multiple positions. He is a tremendous defender who can guard 2-4 with his long arms, quick feet, and nose for the ball. Offensively, he is terrific in transition, capable of creating his own shot off the dribble, a very good finisher on the move, and an excellent offensive rebounder. He is more skilled than given credit for on the perimeter, able to make high arching threes and mid-range pull-ups with consistency.
