Springfield Central High School will be hosting a pair of upcoming sessions from the NFL's High School Player Development programs, both free of charge.
First on May 19, a 7-on-7 tournament will run from 10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., preceded by a character session. From July 23 to 26, an all-position camp will run each night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with instruction from high school and college coaches, in helmets and shoulder pads -- though they will not be provided on site. Players entering their sophomore, junior or senior seasons in the fall of 2013 are eligible for the camp, though freshmen may attend with permission from their varsity coach.
Prior to either date, players must attend the May 19 character session, as well as fill out a medical form and waiver form, due May 17.
